Day 6 - Headlights only show so much

We got a call at dark thirty from the NICU and we were told over the phone that Zachary is needing emergency surgery to fix a hole in his GI tract that was leaking air. We ran down to the hospital and they rushed him in. The surgery took about 90 minutes. They found a really small hole where they performed surgery last Thursday. They sutured the hole and did not find any other openings. They also confirmed that only air was escaping.

We don't know the exact plan that God has for Zachary but we have enough information to rest in His peace.

Thank you all for praying for us. We truly believe that God guided the surgeons during this procedure.

The first picture is before surgery and the second is after.

  1. It is great to know that God goes before us, walks beside us, comes behind us, watches over us, holds us up, & carries us through life. He definitely sees the bigger picture,we just need to trust & rest in Him. Praying that you will continue to feel His presence & peace as He carries you down this road with all of its twists & turns. Much love to both of you, David & Becky, Uncle Tony & Aunt Gale (we've enlisted the prayer warriors back East)
