Zach had been doing well until this weekend. He vomited yesterday (Saturday) at 11am. You could immediately tell he was struggling because he was flailing all four limbs, turning a
dark blue and no sound was coming from him. We almost called 911. Becky picked him up and started comforting him. She held him in a position that he seems to handle the vomiting the best (
Yes she has had many episodes to experiment the best position.)
He was able to start breathing on his own and was able to calm down. Since then his lungs sound pretty crackly (fluid in the lungs). He spit up 5 more times on Saturday and several more today (Sunday).
Ugh.. Just when he spent several good days without vomiting and acting like a normal baby, he scares us.
On Monday, Zach has a scheduled
appt with his cardiologist. Hopefully we can explain what happened and decide what our next steps should be.
This is Zach's favorite spot after an episode.
So sorry to hear of this. Sending up prayer for this little fighter. God is working in this as I type. I will pray for the cardiologist to shed some light and hopefully give some encouraging news. Blessings to all.
