Teetering, Unsteady, Wavering

Our biggest concern last night was twofold: Monitor Zachary's blood output onto his crib sheets and if Zachary were to vomit, make sure he doesn't aspirate or choke.
We checked him every couple hours and he seemed fine.  He didn't vomit at all last night.  Praise God!  He was, however, covered in dried and coagulated blood.  The saliva seemed to exaggerate the amount of blood that he had produced thru his cut.  A warm bath removed all of the dry crusties (unofficial medical term).

What I didn't cover yesterday is the scenario behind Zachary's fall.  Zachary has progressed into toddlerhood!!! He has been laughing as he discovers new areas of the house.  He quietly sneaks off to investigate the deep recesses of our house.  We have often realized that he had slithered off only to find him playing with one of his cars in our closet, bathroom or laundry room.  We are starting to realize that we need to purchase squeaker shoes so that every step will result in a sound.  We don't need him to sneak away quietly.

Yesterday he had snuck into his brothers' room and closed the door when one of the boys opened the door and whacked Zachary in the face. Since Zachary doesn't have a strong upper body, he cannot protect himself as much as he needs to when he falls. He also is on a blood thinner so blood will gush everywhere with each cut.

Thank you all for praying for him.  He is doing fine today.  Here is a video of him toddling around today!  Praise God!

Here is a picture of Zachary waiting in the PCH ER for the doc to check him out.  Clearly, pain is not a problem for this dude.
