So the docs were going to send Zach home on a Vivonex formula because that helped his body heal the leak. So, Becky called our home health provider to get formula for, you know, tomorrow. (To the customer rep, Becky LOVES it when you put her on hold for long periods of time. It is so refreshing to listen to your sweet 80s style elevator music.) We find out that insurance doesn't cover it... Ha Ha, yeah , we fought that fight before. So Becky began the haggeling with the company.

We requested to keep him one more night. We REALLY want him home, but feel like he needs to be monitored more closely than we can watch him tonight.
The medical staff removed his IV lines and we signed the discharge paperwork so that we could leave. Becky packed up all of his stuff...
Ugh...
That is ok. We have learned to be flexible with God's plan for Zachary. We are truly thankful for the medical staff at PCH working with us to develop a plan that will be the best for Zachary. They listen to our concerns and either explain in further detail their methodology or they adjust the plan with the new information.
Pray for Becky, she has been at the hospital since 8am. She will be tired this week.
